Department of Computer Engineering
The Computer Engineering Department is established in 1994. The department continuously strives to comply with the emerging technologies in the area of Computer. The department runs undergraduate and post graduate program. Computer department is highly proud of having qualified, dedicated and experienced staff. The staff attempts usage of various methodologies to enhance the understanding of the course to the students in the department. Besides conventional methods of teaching like lectures and tutorials, the staff encourages students to learn concepts of the course through workshops, group discussions, group projects and quiz etc. the faculty in the department is also involved in research in their specialized areas and department supports faculty to expertise the subject.
The department started with an initial intake of 40 students in UG program and during the course of time, now it has been enhanced to 120. In 2011, the department started a PG program with an intake of 18 students and research center with intake of 10 student has also started in the department since 2015-16.
The department is headed by Dr.Subhash Shinde. His area of interest includes Mobile and wireless communication, soft computing techniques and optimization. The Head of department has rich experience of working at various level through his academic and industrial career.
Computer Society of India - Student Chapter LTCOE
Computer Society Of India is formed in 1965 that has been instrumental in guiding the Indian IT industry down the right path since its formative years. Today, the CSI has 70 chapters all over India, 358 student branches, and more than 90,000 members, including India's most famous IT industry leaders, brilliant scientists and dedicated academicians.
The mission of the CSI is to facilitate research, knowledge sharing, learning and career enhancement for all categories of IT professionals.
The CSI is also working closely with other industry associations, government bodies and academia to ensure that the benefits of IT advancement in india.
